Terms and Conditions

A.  All orders are for material only (unless otherwise noted). Costs for transportation, off loading equipment, installation and installation materials such as installation hardware, grout, mortar, sealers, etc. are not included.

B.  All quantities and types of pieces supplied under this contract are as listed in the bid proposal. The accuracy of quantities and types of pieces required for a specific application is the sole responsibility of the Purchaser or his/her Authorized Agent. No materials other than those listed in the bid proposal will be provided without additional charges.

C.  All additional materials, as well as shipping, not specified in the signed contract will be an added charge. Additional orders or materials, as well as additional shipping costs not specified in the signed contract must be made in writing and signed by the Purchaser.

D.  The insurance liability of Architectural Facades Unlimited, Inc., ceases upon delivery of AFU's product to the shipping agent. The Purchaser is responsible for checking the material upon receipt. Freight is insured through the shipping agent. Material should be throughly inspected upon receipt for damage during shipping.

E.  Architectural Facades Unlimited, Inc. is a handmade, hand-finished product. Each piece is unique and had individual characteristics and texture. Submitted samples are typical of color, texture, and they should not be considered exact representationsof each piece. Authorized Purchasers must inform their clients of the unique characteristics of cast stone. The texture created by entrapped air ranges from smooth to randomly indented. Minor chipping, water staining, effloresce and non-structural hairline crazing are also traditional characteristics of cast stone. As with natural stone, color may lighten or darken according to specific field or storage conditions such as humidity, temperature and exposure to sunlight.

F.  All Architectural Facades Unlimited cast stone pieces require field cuts. Product layout, specific project details and choices of setting methods are the sole responsibility of Purchaser and/or Authorized Agent. Any questions for specific information or recommendations but Purchaser to Architectural Facades Unlimited must be in writing. Supervision of installation and damage to AFU's product during storage and installation are the sole responsibility of the Purchaser.

G.  Orders are received and processed as quickly as possible and all efforts are made to satisfy requested delivery dates. Unless otherwise noted, the standard delivery time is eight to twelve weeks. Detailed scheduling can only be provided after all pertinent information regarding the specific order is finalized such as but not limited to receipt of signed contract and deposit check. Production can not begin without signed details and signed color sample. If your signed color samples are not received in a timely manner, your schedule will be pushed out and delivery will be delayed. On any  "rush orders", the Purchaser is requested to confirm in writing the exact scheduling, and then if AFU can accommodate your time frame, a 20% rush fee will be applied.

All  schedules are subject to a plus or minus ten-day tolorence. If any unforeseen delays occur you will motified in writing as soon as possible. The Authorized Purchaser agrees that Architectural Facades Unlimited will not be subject to further liability for any other job related failures or delays, including but not limited to such items as equipment rental, additional labor costs, rescheduling costs, additional costs of mortgage money or interest cost, etc.

H.  Revisions /Additional / Change Orders - Any Alterations or deviations from  the signed proposal/estimate and/or custom, drawings and details that involve extra costs, will be executed only upon written orders and will become an extra charge. A new production schedule and additional shipping fees will be applied.

I.  No cancellations are available after the material has been put into production. However if the job is cancelled prior to production you may receive a redfund of your deposit upon review and at the sole discretion of Architectural Facades Unlimited. All refunds are subject to the incurred costs as they apply, 100% of Project Management, Drafting, Tooling and/or Mold Fees plus 20% service fee incurred before change or deletion (all in writing).

J.  Mold charges are priced solely as a set up charge. All designs and physical property related to production of the molds remain the sole property of Architectural Facades Unlimited, Inc.

K.  Prices quoted are for materials only and do not include any relevant State or local taxes. All taxes required by law will be added to your invoice at the time of invoicing. Authorized Purchase Agents purchasing the materials for resale must be in possession of a valid Resale License and have completed a Resale Certificate delivered to Architectural Facade Unlimited's office to invoicing date.

L.  Our storage facilities are limited. Architectural Facades Unlimited will store finished product for up to two weeks after the client has been advised that his/her product is ready for pick-up or delivery. Two weeks from the date of contact, if the client has yet to pick up their product, AFU will charge storage fees of $10 a week per pallet, $5 a week per column and $50 a week per mantel.

M.  Shipping - Shipping costs are not included in the contract unless itemized in writing. Shipping quotes include "curb side" delivery only, unless specified in writing. All AFU product is palletized. All products are to be off-loaded by forklift provided by Purchaser, unless specified in writing. When client arranges own shipping, a flat bed truck or open pick up truck must be provided. All pallets will be loaded by forklift only. The balance of the contract is due before loading (when shipping is arranged by client) or C.O.D. (when shipping is arranged by A.F.U), unless otherwise specified by Architectural Facades Unlimited, in writing.

N.  Storage - AFU strongly advises that all packaging not be removed until installation. Once the pallets are unwrapped be sure to lay the product out flat, allow for even air distribution and protect the product from the elements until final installation. Do no reuse any packaging aids such as foam, cardboard, spacers, plastic wrap and/or bead-board for they have caused permanent discoloration of the product when used improperly. Columns must be stored in a straight upright or flat position and protected. Remember once exposed to the elements, cast stone will eventually take on it's own patina. Long term storage of wrapped material is not advised. All interior products are to be stored indoors.

O.  Typical installation methods discussed with Specifier, General Contractor and/or masonry Contractor are intended to introduce these professionals to typical practices and standards. They are not meant to supersede the recommendations of licensed professionals or substitute for their formal  approval or stamp. Architectural Facades Unlimited is a material supplier of cast stone product. It is the sole responsibility of the client to install AFU's cast stone material to the standards set forth in the relevant Building Code.

P.  All orders require 100% tooling and set-up fee, 50% material deposit and the signed contract. See "G" for scheduling details. All deposits are non-refundable after 10 days. The balance of the contract is due before loading (when shipping is arranged by client) or C.O.D. (When shipping os arranged by A.F.U.) unless otherwise specified by Architectural Facades Unlimited, Inc.

Q.  No returns for colored cement, I.e. Sandstone and Travertine. A 20% re-stocking fee applies for standard Paintgrade products only and will be based on AFU discretion. All shipping of returns will be at customer's expense.

LIMITED WARRANTY POLICY

Architectural Facades Unlimited, Inc., will, for the period of one year after delivery, as its sole discretion, either replace or repair any component that , in its opinion, does not meet the terms and conditions of sale. Any discrepancies or complaints regarding appearance - including color, tint, hue, shading, color consistency of grain or texture, etc., and not excluding cosmetic effect - must be conveyed in writing to Architectural Facades Unlimited by the Authorized Purchase Agent, before commencing installation. In the event of a written complaint, Architectural Facades Unlimited, Inc., will examine its production records and compare them with approved samples. Remedial action will only be considered in the event of a manufacturing discrepancy.

The Authorized Purchase Agent is advised that under no circumstances, either expressed or implied, does this warranty cover the cosmetic appearance of any AFU product or products after they have been installed.
